WHY MANY-TO-MANY
A single event may have several valid labels and several valid exposures.
Event type is not exclusive
A source story may encode more than one CAMEO action, so protest, coercion and conflict dimensions can coexist.
Mechanisms are separate objects
An event can combine access restriction, labor disruption and asset damage. The mechanism is what connects an event to a business pathway.
Exposure is a relationship
Shipping, crude oil and semiconductors are not children of an event category. They are targets linked only when compatible mechanisms and evidence exist.
Effects have direction and relative magnitude
The new impact model expresses conditional pressure on availability, lead time, cost and price. Observed physical loss remains a separate measurement.
